Lakeland Linder lands nearly $13M in federal grants for terminal and taxiway upgrades

The Lakeland City Commission approved three federally funded airport projects Aug. 17: $8.1M for three airplane holding bays, $4.8M for a roughly 150-seat expanded passenger waiting area, and $248K for economy parking improvements. Construction on the holding bays is starting immediately, and the airport is targeting completion of the waiting area before spring break as Avelo's service keeps growing.
