SeaWorld rethemed its Arctic flying theater barely a year after its May 9, 2025 debut: Expedition Odyssey closed in phases starting April 10, 2026 and is back open as Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice, with a new film, story and ride profile on the same system. The park's stated reason: the original wasn't pushing the ride system, projection and audio "to their full potential."
