Federal money moved Griffin Park forward in May — phase 1 builds in late 2027

The Orlando Housing Authority received a $2.62 million federal community-project funding package announced May 27, 2026: $850,000 for the Griffin Park redevelopment, with construction on phase 1 scheduled for late 2027. The same package funds the nearby Lorna Doone Apartments redevelopment (from 104 to 160 senior units), $1.2 million of roof replacements at West Oaks, and $774,000 of improvements at the Villas at Carver Park.
