Winter Garden sends its 2050 Comprehensive Plan to the state
noted Aug 27, 2026
The Winter Garden City Commission unanimously approved the first reading of its 2050 Comprehensive Plan on Aug. 13 and submitted it for state review. The plan adds new land use categories with higher residential densities in east Winter Garden, creates two new activity centers, and lowers the maximum commercial building height in the South Beltway Center from seven stories to five. The city projects growth to as many as 66,306 residents by 2050; final adoption comes after state agencies return comments.
