Park Avenue’s first streetscape refresh in almost 30 years is underway

Phase 1 of the Park Avenue Refresh — Webster to Garfield avenues — is under construction block by block: new smart streetlights, repaired sidewalks, curbs and planter boxes, and underground conduit for electric, fiber and irrigation lines. The city approved $2.5 million in CRA funding for Phase 1 in August 2025; the avenue’s last streetscape restoration ran 1996–1999. As of late August 2026 the work has moved to the east side of the avenue.
