Wolf Branch Innovation District project in Mount Dora clears legal fight, clearing to start by year-end

AMCO Development says it can finally begin work on its mixed-use community inside Mount Dora's 830-acre Wolf Branch Innovation District after a court dismissed a residents' appeal in December 2025. Plans call for roughly 1,800 residential units and up to 950,000 square feet of commercial space, including a 100,000-square-foot convention center and 325 hotel rooms. Preliminary clearing and geotechnical borings are expected before the end of 2026, with a formal groundbreaking targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
