Seminole County picks design and construction teams for $160M+ indoor sports complex in Sanford

Seminole County commissioners on Aug. 25 approved PBK Architects Florida as architect and Lake Mary-based Collage Design and Construction (with Manhattan Construction) as construction manager for an indoor sports complex on 28 acres off East Lake Mary Boulevard, near Boombah Sports Complex and Orlando Sanford International Airport. Plans call for roughly 161,000-178,500 square feet with 12 basketball courts, 22 volleyball courts, and a 2,500-seat championship court. Cost is pegged at $160-$175 million; no opening date has been set.
