Unicorp National Developments filed plans with Orange County in March for The Pinnacle, an almost $90 million mixed-use center at Dr. Phillips Boulevard and West Sand Lake Road: roughly 48,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space across up to seven storefronts on 1.6 acres, wrapped around an internal four-level parking garage, topping out at 70 feet. The design was reworked to a Mediterranean feel after community pushback against an earlier six-story modern version. It is a filing seeking eight county waivers — not yet an approval.

Vines by H opened at 7533 W. Sand Lake Road — a renovated reimagining of Vines Grille & Wine Bar, a Restaurant Row fixture since 2003 — with a grand-opening celebration February 19. The menu is modern American with Mediterranean and European influences under executive chef Omer Yildiz, formerly of The H Orlando, and the live jazz that defined the original stays.
