FDOT’s project ledger (financial project number 441113-1) lists the construction cost at $83,077,485.70, the contractor as Superior Construction Company Southeast, the length at 1.78 miles, and the start in fall 2022.

The diverging diamond at Daryl Carter Parkway opened July 19, 2025

FDOT opened three new ramps on July 19, 2025 and designated the new interchange I-4 Exit 70, converting what had been a simple overpass into a full diverging diamond interchange serving the tourism corridor.
